Operation FireH.E.A.T.

The McKissick family was the first family we were able to assist.  On Monday, December 22, 2008, Eric McKissick, his 8 year old daughter, Erika, and his 11 year old son, Ezekial, were displaced after a Christmas tree fire destroyed their living room.  The heat and smoke extensively damaged the rest of their house.  As the fire started with the Christmas tree, obviously, all of their Christmas presents were destroyed.  This is where we were able to step in and assist.

On Christmas morning, we were able to deliver Christmas presents to Erika and Ezekial.  They were staying with other family members and that's where we delivered the presents.  This was the first family we were able to assist and what a great start it was!
