Fred Wechselberger President and Treasurer

Fred has been a Las Vegas resident since 1976. He has worked at the Fire Alarm Office as a 9-1-1 Fire Dispatcher since 2004. Prior to that, he worked as a dispatcher at MedicWest Ambulance, AMR Ambulance and Mercy Ambulance. Fred has management experience from being a entrepreneur after he owned and operated two successful businesses and was a manager for Domino's Pizza. He volunteers each year at the MDA Telethon. He holds an AAS degrees in Fire Science. Fred is excited with what we have been able to do so far and looks forward to growing this charity into a huge success and really touching people's lives at a time they need it most. He thanks everyone for their continued support.

Epa Kaupoe
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue

Epa moved to Las Vegas from Hawaii in 1997. She has been a 911 dispatcher for almost 5 years, and prior to held different positions in the hotel industry. In 2009 she was awarded “Top Baldy”, and raised over $5000 for NV Pep. She has been married for 14 years and has two beautiful children. When not at work she enjoys spending time with her family and loves practicing Bikram yoga. She truly loves her job and is very thankful for the opportunity to be part of this great organization.

Anthony Bruno

Las Vegas Marshals

Anthony Bruno has been a resident in the Las Vegas valley since 2000. He comes from the hometown of Santa Clarita (Magic Mountain) with a huge heart and an eagerness to volunteer to help others. Bruno was a volunteer for the Southern Nevada Chapter of the Trauma Intervention Program (“Tips“) for approximately 5 years. He started with Tips as a “Tips Teen“ where he was called out to assist citizens in dealing with a death of a love one. After one moth of graduating high school from Centennial, Bruno started at AMR Ambulance as one of the youngest ever Emergency Medical Dispatchers. In 2008, Bruno was hired with the City Of Las Vegas as a Public Safety Technician where he continues to love his job.



Greg Cassell

Clark County Fire Dept Representative

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Greg is a 20 year member of the Clark County Fire Department and is currently the Battalion Chief in charge of Battalion 3 “B” platoon. During his career he has served in the capacity of Firefighter, Engineer, and Captain. Throughout those ranks he was a paramedic for 16 years and he has also been a member of the Clark County Fire Department’s Technical Rescue Team since 1990 and spent almost all his time as Captain assigned to the Heavy Rescue. Greg has two Associate Degrees from the College of Southern Nevada and two Bachelor Degrees from Colorado State University.


Ron Kline
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Suppression Representative

Ron has been a Las Vegas resident since 1986. He has worked for Las Vegas Fire & Rescue since 1995 as a firefighter and as a firefighter/paramedic since 1997. He is a founding member of Las Vegas Firefighters Local 1285 Honor Guard and the Las Vegas Firefighters Local 1285 Pipes and Drums. Ron is currently serving as an Executive Board Member of Locl 1285. He also serves as a member of the Health and Safety Committee and Committee Chairman of the Muscular Dystrophy Association Committee.



Doug Koopman

Henderson Fire Dept Representative

Doug was one of the first paramedics hired with the Henderson Fire Department in 1988. Currently he holds the position as a Battalion Chief. Doug has over 25 years in the EMS field and has worked in rural Iowa, Kansas City Mo, and has been in Las Vegas for the past 23 years. He has his AS Degree in Emergency Medic Care and Rescue from Minnesota State University and is currently finishing his B.S. Degree in Fire and Emergency Services Administration from Colorado State University. He has been married for 19 years and has 3 kids. When Doug is not at work, you will find him very active in the community coaching Football, Basketball and Girls Softball.

Scott Nielsen
North Las Vegas Fire Dept Representative

Scott has been a valley resident for 11 years and a Firefighter/Paramedic with the North Las Vegas Fire Department for 7 years. He is active with the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the IAFF Local 1607's Community Outreach Committee.




Mark Cowan
Firehouse Subs

Mark has been a resident of Las Vegas since 2007. He along with his wife Jennifer are local business owners of two Firehouse Subs locations in Las Vegas and they are also the area representatives for franchising Firehouse Subs in the Southern Nevada and Southern Utah markets. Mark has been a foodservice professional for over 38 years.










Buddy Flint
Basch Construction

Buddy is the Director of Emergency Services for Basch Construction's fire restoration division. Originally from New York, he is 3rd generation in the fire service. Buddy is a retired structural firefighter from New York and was a wildland firefighter in Northern California. He has an Associates Degree in Building Technology. Buddy enjoys working with and helping fire victims and also volunteers with the American Red Cross.
